Anna Filipova is an award-winning journalist and documentary photographer. She has been working for the International New York Times, International Herald Tribune, BBC, National Geographic Society and has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, BBC, Wired and Reuters, amongst others.
Anna specialise on the Arctic and Antarctic regions where she explores environmental and scientific topics based in remote and inaccessible areas. She is a grantee of the Pulitzer Center, European Journalism Centre and National Geographic.
In 2021 Anna’s project on the biggest Ground Satellite Station in the World, was selected as the New York Times Photo project’s of the year. She was selected by Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris and President of C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, as a climate heroine.
