Anna Filipova is an award-winning journalist, environmental photographer and researcher. She has been working for the International New York Times, BBC, National Geographic Society and has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, BBC, Wired and Reuters, amongst others. Anna specialises in the Arctic and Antarctic regions, where she explores environmental and scientific topics in remote and inaccessible areas. Anna has been a Nieman Fellow in Journalism, one of the world’s most prominent and prestigious fellowships, as well as a grantee of the Pulitzer Center, European Journalism Centre, International Women’s Media Foundation, and National Geographic Society, among others.Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris (France), honored her as a Climate Heroine. Anna is a Fellow at Harvard University.
